Safety

Maintaining a clean jobsite reflects the importance the builder places on quality and makes workers safer and more efficient. The process of keeping a jobsite clean and well-organized starts with who you choose to handle, store and install division 10 building materials. Poor material handling practices that are substandard result in waste, delay your schedule, create unsafe jobsites and ultimately cost builders money.

Although the cost per piece of damaged material may not be high, it adds up when you are building a lot of units. The indirect costs from schedule delays leads the owner to suspect their builder is careless and creates more scrutiny throughout the construction process. This does not help the builder’s marketing efforts or reputation.

All employees are PPE trained for proper material handling, installation, equipment operation and job site safety and receive weekly updates on the latest protocols. Contact us today to create a well-organized and safe space at your jobsite.

Storage and Just-In-Time (JIT) Material Delivery

For multi-family projects, we field measures all closets, windows, shower stalls, public restrooms and rough openings to ensure proper fit for all installed division 10 material. When material is received at our warehouse, it is prefabricated, organized by floor or section, repackaged and stored for just in time delivery to the job site on our dedicated trucks. This process is a hallmark of the lean principle at Create A Space and a win for builders and owners, as they continue to find ways to reduce costs, compress the project schedule, and improve quality control.

We have extensive experience working with owners, lenders and general contractors to assure material is stored properly and protected from any losses. These assurances include adequate and additional insurance, proof of ownership, a log of stored materials and photos along with periodic inspections if requested.

On-site Training

Our contracting team is here to help with your renovation or new construction. With over 20 years of experience in supplying and installing division 10 specialties to leading general contractors and developers in the Midwest, we understand the unique scope of work required for your projects. Create A Space has developed a division 10 installation process that allows an efficient and timely installation without interfering with any paint or drywall touch-up that may be in process. Employees use manufacturer supplied and proprietary templates to ensure accurate placement. If you already have an installation crew, we can provide as-built documentation, on-site training and templates in advance so that units can be prepared ahead of material delivery. Contact us to create a well-organized space and keep your project on track.
